CLINICAL STUDY
To verify the effectiveness of the cookie, a clinical study was carried out in children aged 2 to 5 years from rural communities of Oaxaca and Chiapas, Mexico. The study was divided into two parts:
| 1. Prevent moderate acute malnutrition in children at risk of malnutrition | 2. Correct moderate acute malnutrition. |
The intervention consisted of providing a portion of the specialized Quaker Qrece® food for each day of the week for 12 months, in addition to a hygiene and nutrition education program for parents or guardians.
